Dakota Fanning is going wild, Mississippi Wild, that is. The film will follow a teen, portrayed by actor Ryan Donowho, “who has to go on the run with his girlfriend (Fanning) after stealing diamonds that belong to a local gangster.” Ruh-Roh.
Texas-born Donowho is an actor as well as a musician. He took part in the third season of The O.C. and appeared in ’09 in Bandslam with Vanessa Hudgens.
Collider reports “Robert Duvall, Mickey Rourke, and Forest Whitaker are in negotiations to co-star”. They snagged the news from Variety. Rourke and Whitaker would likely portray rival gangsters. I like that!
Fanning is also attached to film putting her in the role of a real life princess in a fantasy scenario. Variety also says “she’ll first be starring alongside Emile Hirsch and Stephen Dorff in The Motel Life,” which is interesting because Donowho shared the screen with Hirsch for The Mudge Boy. Fanning will also appear in Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn in November.
Production for MW is slated for a March 21st start date in Atlanta. Hooray for more films shot in Georgia! So far X-Men: First Class and The Conspirator have been shot in the state I call home, with a movie about 1900s era Savannah, Georgia, starring Jim Caviezel (Frequency, The Passion of the Christ) filming this month!
