Marc Jacobs has tapped a teen screen queen to front his latest scent.
After much speculation, Dakota Fanning has been revealed as the face of Oh, Lola!, Elle UK reports.
Described as a younger sister of sorts to Jacobs’s Karlie Kloss-fronted Lola scent, Oh, Lola! features summery floral notes of peony, raspberry, and frais des bois as well as hints of vanilla and tonka bean.
To capture the scent’s playful spirit, the 17-year-old Fanning trades her moody Twilight Volturi gear for a sweet blush polka-dot dress, white tights, and straight center-parted locks in the Juergen Teller-shot campaign.
The bubblegum pink ad also reveals the Oh, Lola! bottle, which mimics the original Lola (and, ahem, Justin Bieber’s Someday) packaging with a plastic rose petal topper.
The scent will reportedly hit stores on July 27. Be there or be square. [Source]

Dakota Fanning, Elizabeth Olsen, Dustin Hoffman, Peter Sarsgard and Sissy Spacek have all signed on for the drama VERY GOOD GIRLS. The drama is about two best friends (Fanning and Olsen) that make a pact to lose their virginity the summer after high school. Of course, the two girls fall for the same guy and things get complicated. There’s no word on who Hoffman, Sarsgard or Spacek will play, but I can only hope that none of them will be the guy the two girls fall for.
For my money, Dakota Fanning is one of the most talented actresses working today, but I can’t say I’m overly excited about this film. There have been a lot of “virginity” films lately and this could get pedestrian pretty quickly. The script was written by Naomi Foner, who will also be directing. She previously wrote the dramas BEE SEASON and LOSING ISAIAH. [Source]
Dakota Fanning will spend the time she has left on earth with Jeremy Irvine, according to Screen Daily, who reports that the two young stars will topline “Now Is Good”, based on Jenny Downham’s novel “Before I Die”, about a terminally ill teenage girl’s desire to experience life to the fullest before she dies.
Ol Parker will direct and Paddy Considine and Olivia Williams will co-star alongside the youngsters, presumably playing Fanning’s parents who struggle with setting limits on a teenager with so little time to experience things like sex, drugs and adventure. Irvine will most likely play the boy next door with whom she falls in love, though no further details are given.
